Now that Fall is in full swing, I’ve been fully committed to all things cozy and self care… and I’m definitely not mad about it. As the air starts to turn more crisp, I’m embracing slower, more thoughtful rituals, cozying up my home, and covering myself in the comfiest clothing possible. Keep reading for a few of my favorite (Fall) things!
Beauty & Health
Collagen // I’ve been adding collagen to my morning super latte for about 6 months now, and can definitely see a difference with my muscle mass and skin dryness. I haven’t been drawn to coffee recently though, so I switched over to having Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen with warmed up Oatly each morning. (yummmmmm!)
Adaptogens // I started venturing into adaptogens a while back as well, but wasn’t able to really get my groove until recently. Adaptogens felt overwhelming to me at first, until I discovered Moon Juice’s Full Moon Sachets. There are 6 different “Dusts” Moon Juice offers, all centered around “helping expand your body’s capacity to handle mental, physical and emotional stress.” Um, yes please. For example, Spirit Dust is great for uplifting your mood and relaxing your mind, where Power Dust is awesome for boosting energy and sustaining energy levels. I’ve been adding Dream or Beauty Dust to warm Oatly milk in the evenings before bed, Power Dust to water before a workout, Spirit Dust for days I need some emotional hormonal support, etc. (P.S. In addition to getting to try all the Dusts, the other awesome thing about the individual sachets is the Dusts stay super fresh!)
I also recently got Moon Juice’s adaptogenic serum to get my adaptogen on both internally AND externally. You apply it morning and evening, just after your toner, to help reduce any inflammation, or signs of wrinkles/fine lines. I love it because it literally feels like I’m giving my skin a boost.
Cashmere sheets // We decided it was time to up our bedding game, and started first with getting a new duvet and duvet cover. We tried Parachute’s linen duvet cover and shams first, but ultimately ended up returning them because we didn’t love the texture, the wrinkled look of the linen, or how long they took to dry. We ended up in our local Restoration Hardware (one of our favorite places to go and feel fancy even though we rarely buy anything). We never thought we’d actually get any bedding at RH, but just so happened to fall in love with a cotton/cashmere duvet that was deeply discounted (hooray!) Y’all… this duvet cover is LIFE CHANGING. The 10% cashmere gives it an incredibly soft feel, while not being too warm to sleep with. It’s the perfect level of coziness for fall.
(Another) new plant // I’ve been eyeing Settle Ceramic’s work for quite some time, and finally decided to purchase a pot and new rubber plant at Frond. It sits right next to my bed and honestly gives me so much joy. This just in, moments ago, I also just snagged a free fern from a neighbor who knows my love for plants. The addiction continues 😉
Health & Wellness
Class Pass // I started using Class Pass about 4 years ago, back when you could take unlimited fitness classes each month for a super affordable price. I switched to other options when their pay structure changed, but then recently they changed it once more. They now have three different plans, depending on how much you want to spend/how many classes you want to attend per month. I currently have the top tier option, and tend to go to about 3 classes per week. I love that I’m able to keep my routine fresh, and keep my body guessing with different types of workouts. Currently I’m attending yoga on Mondays, a trampoline Bounce class on Wednesdays (SO FUN), and a spin class on Thursdays. (P.S. If you haven’t tried Class Pass before, give it a go! You can get $40 off your first month with this link!)
Snap Kitchen // Snap Kitchen has been a LIFE SAVER recently for getting my nutrition back on track (one of my fall intentions!) I’ve been crazy busy recently, and not interested in cooking, so we were eating out almost every meal for a while. It just wasn’t sustainable for our bank accounts (or health!), so we decided to give Snap Kitchen a go! For the last month or so, I’ve been having about 4-8 Snap Kitchen meals each week. I’ve saved a ton of money by not eating out so often, AND we thoroughly enjoy our weekends when we splurge on eating out. I love that their packaging is now compostable and oven safe, too! Use my code CDUN-CRQ when you sign up, and get $10 off your first order!
Stress Away Essential Oil // Speaking of being crazy busy, I recently discovered one of my faaaaavorite essential oil scents EVER for stress relief. I’ve been using essential oils for about 5 years or so now, and have always used DoTerra (just because that’s what I was first introduced to). I was at People’s RX about a month ago and one of the Young Living bottles caught my eye, called Stress Away. (How could I say no?) It’s an unexpectedly amazing blend of Lime, Vanilla, Cedarwood, and Lavender that I now can’t live without. I diffuse it in the mornings and evenings as I’m doing my rituals, and use this diffuser that looks so cute in my home.
I’ve been allllll about the cozy, fall clothes recently. Here’s what I’m wearing on repeat (literally… I wore this sweater three times last week):
